Jeraldine Martis

Legal Practice Director

I moved to Perth with my family in 2000 to further my tertiary studies, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. During my final year at University, I worked
as a paralegal at the duty lawyer service at the Children’s Court of Western
Australia.

In 2009, I was admitted to practice as a Barrister & Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

My legal career started in Personal Injury, Wills & Estate and Family Law. Having developed a keen interest in family law, I spent the next 10 years practicing exclusively in family law with a premier boutique city firm.

I have assisted and represented clients from a diverse range of background and cultures in Family Court litigation and mediation conferences.

My approach to Family Law is to resolve your disputes in a conciliatory and collaborative manner where possible to avoid the stress of litigation. However if litigation is necessary, my clients can be assured that I will advocate their case with vigour and pragmatism.

I am a current member of the Family Law Practitioners of WA, Law Society of WA and a family law panel member at Legal Aid WA.

In 2024, I was honored to be named a finalist in The Attorney-General’s Community Service Law Awards for Legal Aid panel members. This award honors Legal Practitioners for their work and commitment to community service to ensure greater access to the legal system by underprivileged and vulnerable people.

Outside of family law, I enjoy volunteering at the Australian Masters Games and Telethon Community Cinemas, travelling to experiencing different cultures and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.
